Clean Tubs with Grapefruits and Salt

If you wish your bathtub to look new and sparkly all the time, forget about the regular scrub bleach. Instead, cut one grapefruit in half and sprinkle salt on both halves. Then, sprinkle some salt on the tub and use the halves to scrub the surface. This is quite simple, but the results are excellent.

Repurpose Your Dry Sheets

Did you know that you can use your laundry fabric sheets to clean your house? Well, you can. You can use your dry sheets to remove the ring inside your toilet, wipe baseboards, and buff water spots from shower doors, mirrors, and bathroom or kitchen fixtures.

Clean Gas Burners with Ammonia

Gas burners can be quite hard to clean, mostly due to oil spillage when cooking. Using ammonia can save you a lot of time and work. Place your burners in a plastic bag and fill it with 1/4 cup of ammonia gas. Seal the bags overnight. Then, wipe the burners using a wet sponge before placing them back on the stovetop.

Use Baking Soda to Clean Your Couch

If you notice stains and lingering smells on your couch, do not panic. Brush off the surface of your couch, and sprinkle baking soda on the stained area. After 20 minutes, vacuum it up using a brush.

Remove the Grease Stains with a Piece of Chalk

Washing out grease stains is not an easy task. But, before the grease stain settles in, you can use some wax-free chalk to rub it clean. Allow the chalk to sit in for a few minutes before wiping it away. Then, use a laundry detergent to pat the stained area and finally wash it using hot water.

Clean Carpet Stains with a Damp Cloth, Vinegar, and Hot Iron

If you accidentally spill anything on your carpet, do not panic. You will have everything you need to remove the stains. You only need vinegar, damp cloth, and hot iron. Sprinkle a mixture of two parts water and 1 part vinegar on the stained area. Cover it with a wet cloth and iron the stained spot on the steam setting for at least 30 seconds. Repeat the procedure till the stain is completely removed.

Use Vinegar to Clean Your Microwave

Put an equal amount of vinegar and water in a bowl and place it in the microwave. Set it on high for about 10 minutes but make sure to place a wooden object to prevent it from boiling. Then, let it cool down and finally wipe down the microwave using a paper towel or sponge. If you like, you can add lemon to the mixture for a fresh scent.

Generally, for better results, clean your house regularly using the above hacks, and you will realize how easy it is to clean your house.
